Class of 2011's Meaghan

Meaghan's session started with an indoor session

We then moved on to the Endicott Estate and the grounds for an outdoor session

Class of 2011's Kayla

Along with a few indoor images,

Kayla decided on Bridge Park for her outdoor session.
For backdrops and props we had the bridge, of course

the swing set poles

and the many trees that the park has to offer.

Balloon Fest

You have to get up pretty early in the morning if you want to catch the Hot Air Balloons being assembled, inflated and launching. Up at 4:45 a.m. and heading to Hudson from Stow (where I spent the night so I wouldn't have to get up even earlier) I got to the site just as the truckloads of balloons were arriving. The entire event was over before 7 a.m. but it was awesome to watch. The photos below speak for themselves. It was an amazing dawn.

Kate- High School Senior - Outdoor Session

Thursday evening Kate had her Senior Pictures taken at Elm Bank and the Waterfalls in Natick.
With so many different backdrops that are available it is one of my favorite places for a photo session. Here are some favorites of the evening.

We found this really fun giant chair so used it for a few poses.

The sky was perfect for a photo session.
lots of dramatic looking clouds which always add to a photo and no sun to speak of.
This gate made of woven tree limbs was interesting
The lily pads were in abundance at the fountain
Always one of my favorites the decorative black iron gate
There were so many flowers in bloom.
Another of my favorites, The Goddess Garden. One of these days I'll bring a sheet to use as a dress for one of my clients. Just for fun!
Behind the Goddess Garden a stone couch
Another of my favorite fun places at Elm Bank is The Tomb. I love to take advantage of this spot for a "coming out of the dark" photo.
Some of the trees in the forrest-y area have interesting vines that I like to use in a few poses.

One of my final stops at Elm Bank is always my favorite tree that resembles a boat.
With darkness almost upon us the sky started to take on a really dramatic look.
1/4 mile down the road from Elm Bank is the Natick Waterfall.
Before night fell we decided to try out luck there for a few shots.
Here are the results.

Opposite the falls was the bridge
One more before it got too dark.
The entire session was done with off camera flash.

Dance Weekend

Last weekend was recital weekend for the dance studio.
These dancers are young but marvelous in this art. Here are some performance and studio photos.

Here are a couple of studio images followed by some images from this little lady's solo performance

Beauty and grace is depicted in all movements of this exceptional young dancer.

You can see how much she enjoys dance as she smiles through her performance.
This lovely young lady demands attention with her dancing ability.
After just seeing her dance a handful of times, I can pick her out of a crowded stage in group dances.

This gal is like a graceful gazelle with her leaps.

OUT TAKES.
A few of the girls wanted to play around with poses during my down time.
Here is one of my favorites.
My niece's will have their dance recital in June but I did their studio photos last weekend
