go into a career in nursing when she finishes high school.

A few indoor poses

and because Elizabeth is a dancer, she indulged her mom and I with a few shots in her tutu
Sunday evening was a Sweet 15 celebration for this lovely lady.
We started out at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain for some formal shots of the birthday girl and her attendants

I've noticed that traditions at these Quinceneara's differ with each culture and even within a culture. During this event the traditional changing of the shoes by the father signifies the young girl passing into young adulthood.

After her mom proceeded with the traditional crowning she presented her daughter with a promise ring. I had never seen this done before.

Quinceneara & High School Senior Session
Saturday's Quinceneara began with a stop at the Nursing Home to see Melissa's Abuelo, who would not me able to attend the festivities.

We took a few photos on the grand staircase
and in front of the famous chandelier

After a few group frames it was on to Lombardo's in Randolph.

It was a wonderful party!Sunday morning I picked Alex up for her outdoor High School Senior photo shoot. After a few initial photos in front of a flowering bush in front of her house,
we headed over to Larz Anderson Park
We started our session at the stone wall outside of the Transportation Museum.
and moved to the hill and on to Acorn Rock as Alex has named it because of all of the acorns on and around the rock.

Then it was on to the bench with the flowering bush behind it.
and then to the small bridge
and finally the decorative iron gate.
We then headed around the corner to the bottom of the big hill where the trees and stone seating can be found.

Here's one of the few candid shots I took. Many times I like these ones the best, though in Alex's case I love so many of them.
From the hill we moved down to the gazebo

A touch of glamour was given to this one just for fun.
