Kate- High School Senior - Outdoor Session

Thursday evening Kate had her Senior Pictures taken at Elm Bank and the Waterfalls in Natick.
With so many different backdrops that are available it is one of my favorite places for a photo session. Here are some favorites of the evening.

We found this really fun giant chair so used it for a few poses.

The sky was perfect for a photo session.
lots of dramatic looking clouds which always add to a photo and no sun to speak of.
This gate made of woven tree limbs was interesting
The lily pads were in abundance at the fountain
Always one of my favorites the decorative black iron gate
There were so many flowers in bloom.
Another of my favorites, The Goddess Garden. One of these days I'll bring a sheet to use as a dress for one of my clients. Just for fun!
Behind the Goddess Garden a stone couch
Another of my favorite fun places at Elm Bank is The Tomb. I love to take advantage of this spot for a "coming out of the dark" photo.
Some of the trees in the forrest-y area have interesting vines that I like to use in a few poses.

One of my final stops at Elm Bank is always my favorite tree that resembles a boat.
With darkness almost upon us the sky started to take on a really dramatic look.
1/4 mile down the road from Elm Bank is the Natick Waterfall.
Before night fell we decided to try out luck there for a few shots.
Here are the results.

Opposite the falls was the bridge
One more before it got too dark.
The entire session was done with off camera flash.

Wedding and Bride & Groom on the beach

Saturday morning took me to Worcester for the union of Deb & Steve. We started off in Elm Park at the bridge for some formals of the wedding party.

and a few Bridal Portraits

before heading over to the church for the ceremony.
After the ceremony we took a few more outdoor photos
then headed to the church function room.

The bride & groom's first dance.

The kids. I really must start bringing someone along to video my photo events an sessions.

How do you get 6 kids ages 2 - 7 to look and smile? Balance something on your head and tell them to make sure it doesn't fall off. :) you have no idea the lengths I'll go to and the silly things I'll do to get a smile.

One of the flower girls.

Mmmmm!

I then headed up to Old Orchard Beach Maine where Steve & Deb first met to take some photos on the beach. Here they are amidst the flowering sand dunes.
The beach shots came out great! They had lots of fun with these.

Steve decided that they were done, so off they went.
