Dancers

Here are some images of unidentifiable dancers from last week's dance competition. Because I don't have releases signed for all of the participants I decided to do the safe thing and show images where you can't see or make out the face.

With just under 400 dances photographed over the 2 days, I have to say that there is some unbelievable creative genius out there in today's dance studios..

As well as some extremely talented dancers.

Spirit Seniors - Dance - Semi Formal

Here is another Class of 2011 Spirit Senior, Mackenzie.

Because her school only allows formal studio images for their yearbook, we started with those.

Here's Patrick, my second class of 2011 male Spirit Senior.

Patrick and Mackenzie are also a couple. Again, being able to use only formal photos for the yearbook we started with Pat in a shirt and tie.

Since we were doing formals, and Elizabeth had gone to her first high school semi formal dance the night before, she donned her lovely dress so we could take a photos.

We then continued onto a more colorful background fro some headshots and some more relaxed poses. Mackenzie is very much interested in the Performing Arts and is beginning to look at colleges that will allow her to continue her aspirations.

Patrick was also more relaxed in this informal setting.

because they are a couple, I did a few sets of couple photos for them and was happy to see that each one chose a couple image as their profile pic on facebook after I posted some there.

I needed some dance photos of Elizabeth but we began with some informal shots that little brother Mikey jumped in on.

Maternity and Holiday Cards sessions

Young Mikey always makes his own fun with these sessions
When I go on location to a session, I set up my equipment and then usually ask one of the children to help me test my lights.
Most of the time the child will sit and give me their best smiles. Many times I get the best single shots of the sessions from these first few images.
When Mikey helps me, however, THIS is what I get for my test shots.

Unusual for sure, but definitely FUN!
