Nutcracker - Holiday card photos - High School Senior Session

Saturday's performances of Broadway Bound Dance Center's version of the holiday classic Nutcracker which they refer to as Nuts & Bolts, were a huge success! From the opening performance of Drosselmeyer's Toy Shop
To the children's holiday party where the mischievous boys had much fun teasing the young ladies...
to the dancing dolls
Mouse Kings and Toy soldier's come to life....
The beautiful Snow Queen and snowflakes...
A lovely Sugar Plum Fairy whose leaps were beyond compare
and an Arabian dancer that any young girl would aspire to be
able to dance like.
and not quire last, and certainly not least, a trio of acrobatic Russian Dancers.
It was a performance that was well worth the viewing.
I'm looking forward to BBDC's next performance in February of
Alice in Wonderland.
Sunday morning took me to see this gaggle of kiddies for their annual holiday session. We had rescheduled a couple of times due to illnesses. Even this weekend young Liam (centered between his 2 sisters) was leaving right after our session for a doctors appointment doe a suspected ear infection. He managed to stay composed for the session even though he didn't feel well. Hopefully they'll all be healthy and happy for their Christmas celebrations next week.
Sunday early afternoon was a session for Aiden and Erin to use for holiday cards and holiday gift giving. Erin's before and after photos were posted here last month when she donated her hair to Locks of Love
I invited her mom to bring along Erin's First Communion Dress since she hadn't had professional photos done last spring when she made her First Communion.
I was very happy she took me up on it. The photos came out lovely!
Sunday afternoon was to be an indoor and outdoor photo session for Jessica's H.S. Senior Yearbook Photos. I met Jessica Last week while doing holiday photos for her 4 month old niece, Grace. Unfortunately the rain prevented the outdoor session. It's must have been kismet that I was called to do Grace's photos and met Jessica. We had talked about doing her senior photos after the first of the year but....
as it turned out Jessica's senior photo's were due to be submitted next week.
so after a little juggling, we were able to get the photos taken this weekend.
I always take lots of poses and allow up to 3 changes of clothes.
Although only one traditional style photo will be used for her yearbook, some of the other fun shots will be printed to give to family and friends at graduation.

Weekend fun with a Twilight theme

I needed a photo session depicting long hair for a Locks of Love promo that I'm putting together for this spring.
Because My niece is obsessed with the Twilight series of books and she fit the bill with the hair, I bribed her with a twilightesque session if she allowed me a hair session. Here's a few photos that we came a way with.
First the Twilightesque grouping that I put together.
I love Photoshop!
Here is a better idea of what she looks like normally

And here are a few shots from the hair session.

I needed these photos for a promo in support of the Locks of Love organization. This spring and summer I'll be offering a complimentary mini before and after portrait sessions for anyone who donates their hair for this cause. I will be offering this through my local hair salon,(Salon Aristophani) but welcome anyone donating hair to contact me for these complimentary sessions. Sessions include a 5 x 7 digital print from each session.

I couldn't end this post without thanking my other niece, Jenny for helping me to test my lighting and for assisting me by holding the reflectors while doing the shadowed imagery.
