One subject - Three Sessions & Food for though

8 year old Nina was busy this weekend with her photo sessions. We started out with Nina and sister Kaleigh in their Easter outfits, joined by a couple of Spring friends.
Nina giving her bunny and duck some love.
Kaleigh looking adorable.

Nina did a quick change into her ballet recital costume.

Nina thought it was funny as I pulled off her ballet slipper and told her to put it on again.
After the 3rd or 4th time she realized what it was I was doing.
I desaturated most of the color from the image below. I really like this effect with ballet photos.
Another quick change created this jazzy look for her tap costume.
Nina had fun showing me some of her dance steps.
Once we managed to diffuse some of her energy, and another change, we moved into her First Communion Portraits.

Here she is looking very prayerful.
She did a great job with all of her session.

Sunday I took some food photos at a taste testing for a "soon to open" Irish pub in Marshfield.
Here are some of the menu items that The Bailey will offer, and my guess, will become well known for....
We have the buffalo wings. One of the two sauces that I tasted had a heat that didn't kick in until just after eating the wingette. It was light and really tasty.
Next was the crunchy and FRESH french fries served with vinegar, ketchup or this curry seasoned dipping sauce that was yummy.
Next on the taste testing menu was fish cakes. Not being a lover of fish cakes usually, I must say that although they looked good I was hesitant to taste these. When I did give them a try. they were absolutely delicious.
These special recipe, Bailey Spring Rolls were definitely my favorite of the day.
As entree's go a totally moist and tasteful meatloaf will be a regular item. This was scrumptious!

One of the desserts that will be served is a unique Irish Bread Pudding made with Irish soda Bread!

Kate Spirit Senior

Kate is one of my class of 2011 spirit seniors. She had her indoor photo session on Saturday. Kate's mom was a great help as she was great with suggesting creating background settings for the session around the house.

We also used a backdrop

There was a really fun candelabra that both Kate's mom and I wanted to incorporate in some of the shots. i loved the way it framed Kate's face in this one.

Kate has a lovely smile!

They've decided on Elm Bank for Kate's outdoor session when the weather gets better.
That should create plenty of great backgrounds as well.

A Sunday morning portrait party

One Sunday morning a couple of weeks back, Jen had a portrait party at the Arnold Arboretum. There were 6 families in attendance. Here's Jen with her family.

Adrian is one of the happiest babies, I've worked with.
Jen brought Adrian to a portrait party back in January and he was just as happy!

Can you hear me now?

Here's another little cutie

Who is also very happy!
"I wonder....."
This is one of my favorites of the day.
Can you beat that expression?
Another little lovely

She looks like she ready to investigate

This little gal LOVED the doggie

Here was the oldest young lady of the day

She was very cooperative and was happy

to strike a pose.

At 5 months old this little guy was the youngest of the day.

"very interesting"
Here's the final little cutie of the day.
A cuter bunch of babes I've never seen.

Saturday took me to Fall River and Westport MA for the wedding of Krystal and Ian Waite.
This was one of the most fun couples and groups I've ever worked with. There was much commraderie and silliness among the wedding party themselves.

Wishing Krystal and Ian many years of wedded bliss

Krystal, Ian and little Aubrey who was a bit under the weather but looked too cute in her princess dress.
Krystal looked amazing.
The wedding party getting it started
What a fun group!
LAYLA
I can't get enough of this little cutie. Little Layla turns 3 months old today. She was full of personality with lots of stories to tell as she posed with the 22 minute tutu that I made especially for this photo session. click on the word tutu to find quick and easy intructions for making your own. I changed up a little on the instructions and used a piece of ribbon to tie the tulle onto so that it could be wrapped around the waist and tied in a bow.

Since Jenny was such a squinty girl for the beach session, I re-visited Jenny and sister Dana for a quick mini session of the pair on Sunday morning.
