Weekend Wedding & H. S. Seniors Session at the Beach

Lindsey and Jeff tied the know on Saturday in Northampton

The Grooms Men
The Bride's Maids

The happy couple

This was a fun group. They were all for it when I suggested a few silly poses.
I love the way the the bride and groom grouped the twin groomsmen with one of the brides maids.
Lindsey - sporting the green eyed monster while the brides maids blow kisses to the groom.
The groomsmen giving the bride a little lift.
It was a great wedding and reception.
Wishing Lindsey & Jeff a lifetime of love and happiness .

Sunday afternoon, the rains held off just long enough to allow us a High School Senior Photo Session with a few girls from Medfield High School's Class of 2010.
These lovely ladies were some of the easiest I've photographed in a group as yet.
These girls were so good in front of the camera that out of the almost 400 shots
I took, only one frame had eyes closed.

Whenever a group of friends choose to do a session together I always take some fun group shots. Each girl has received a web image of these and will receive a
4 x 6 of each pose when they order their prints.
Jumping for joy!

Every group of girls should have one of these shots in their scrapbook.

Virginia Beach

I spent the past week on Virginia Beach with my daughter and brother's family.
These are his lovely children.
and here are his lovely children after I cartooned them.
Just goofing around in photoshop.

This is the third time I've taken these shots.
It's been a few years since the last time so we figured it was time.

Here's the same set of shots with the cousins.

Everyone got new sunglasses so I had to include a pic with them.
I call this one "All about Mikey"

Some individual shots as it was turning twilight

Tim's individual had to be taken while he played in the waves since that is his favorite place to be on the beach.

As whirlwind romances go

Mario and Mildred met through a mutual friend while at a beach on the Cape a little over a year ago. They are now engaged to be married next August.
We went to Wollaston Beach for their engagement photo session on Saturday as our original location (Nantasket Beach) was in the middle of an "Endless Summer festival" and we wanted a less populated place for their session.

These are some of my favorites

You can see that they are very much in love and after spending some time with them I can see that they will make a great team.

On Sunday - which turned out to be a beautiful day weather wise - my friend Joe, who also dabbles in the art and shoots Nikon, and I went out to have a go at natural and fill lighting.
Here's a natural light shot.

A shot using the flash. Which do you prefer?

Congratulations Marianne & Dennis

Dennis and Marianne took the plunge into wedded bliss at the Ocean View Inn and Resort in Gloucester Sunday afternoon. The downpours of the morning gave way to drier skies so that we were able to get some nice outdoor shots.

Awaiting the exchange of vows which Dennis and Marianne wrote themselves

Unity

Incorporating a screen wall into the image that was in Marianne's room
The highlighted images will surely be those with the ocean and cliff backdrop.

These 2 make a wonderful team and compliment each other in every way. Best wishes to Dennis and Marianne for a lifetime of continued love, health, happiness and good fortune.

Beach and High Key Portraits

Saturday took me to Cape Cod for a day at the beaches and sand dunes of Sandwich which started off with a session starring Emma, Kay & Jay with their mom & dad.
Next it was off to a newarby beach for a second session with Dana & Jenny

For future reference, I'd justliek to say,- Future Cover Girl....

After a slip aff the rock and into the water this is Dana's rendition of The Little Mermaid's Ariel as she came out of the water to sing "Part of your World"
I have to say, she took it well and continued right on with her individual session.
We went all out for 12 week old Layla's High Key images. She was all smiles for her mom and fascinated with the camera which at this point she probably thinks is a part of my body. I had to try out a black and white version as well as color. I haven't decided yet which I like best.
