Welcome Baby Leo

At 2 weeks old, I photographed this little cutie in his first professional photo session.
New for this year, I will present the parents of each newborn session that I photograph with a custom designed digital birth announcement to share with friends and family members over social networking sites and by e-mail.
As with all newborn sessions, these images are done "low key" with dark backround and clothing which allows the new baby to stand out.
I also always take a few dad and baby photos,
mom and baby photos
holding baby photos,
and finally baby with props images.
Mom liked the baseball theme
and as most people also liked the angel baby photos.
Little Leo did a great job with his first session.

Weekend photo session

Last week I posted photos of little Ella who was celebrating her 2nd birthday . This week I had scheduled a baseball session with her big brother David. Sister Ava and Brother Liam tagged along with their own venue for photos.

We began at the baseball duggout and diamond with David

Rock and Roll Diva was the theme that Ava came up with for her photos
Liam on the other hand wanted a more reptilian look to his photos
so insisted on wearing his frog costume
Grandma, Mary, who accompanied us to the field supplied the butterflies.

Here he is among his Teddy Bear friends

Mom & Dad's Little Angel
Dreaming of the big league
Here are the proud parents, Tiffany and Xavier,
with their bundle of joy
A very happy family
Tiffany looked amazing 11 days after having a baby!
You would never have guessed.
Unlike most new dads,
Xavier was a pro at
handling this little guy.

Feast or Famine - this weekend FEAST!

The weekend started on Friday evening with a
One Year session with little Richie.
Here he is looking sharp in his Red Sox Sweater
I've had a thing for hats recently and brought along a few for this session. Because I just love to see little boys in scally caps I made sure I got a few shots with it. Richie was really good about having hats on too.
I transformed the original shot above to have a more old time feel in the photo below and then converted to B & W as well.

Here's the Lil' Cowpoke! I LOVE cowboy hats!

This guy could really light up a room with his smile.

Here he is in the final portion of the session with his cake, which didn't go over too well. He just isn't a big fan of cake I guess. He did really like the balloons though.
Little Richie did a really great job in his first photo session. I'll look forward to seeing him again.
Then it was off to take Nina's Dance pictures.
Here's the little ballerina.

Here she is just tapping on through
Here's sister Kaleigh who I couldn't leave out.

What fun is having a backdrop in your living room
if you can't use it to make the room your stage.

and because they were having such a good time, I took some fun shots as the girls clowned around and put on a performance for me

They really are a lot of fun!

Saturday morning it was time for Layla's First Birthday Session

We went with a ballerina theme for part of the session

I got so many great smiles out of her this time around

A fine art style shot
She loves to stand and is working hard and getting

the walking thing down.

A change of clothes and a chair which her mother informed me she will stand on if given the opportunity.

A parasol and straw hat and gold beads and you have

some of a females favorite things.

and of course we finished with the cake portion of the session.

Layla was wild over the balloons
and was pretty happy with the cake as well. She didn't actually eat it though had no trouble at all digging her hands in there for a little bit of messy fun.

Happy First Birthday, Layla!

Sunday morning took me out for an early morning Communion
session with the Perry Family

A good looking group they are.

Here are a few that I'm throwing in just because.

Kay on her way to a Bar Mitzvah

niece Amber looking all grown up

and the lovely Alyssa

A very busy weekend indeed!
