Saturday morning was spent taking Holiday Card photos of Frankie and Miranda

Saturday evening was a very elegant QuinceaƱera for Shannon.
Shannon looked beautiful in her traditional ball gown, sitting on her decorated swing, while awaiting to be crowned by her mother and the traditional changing of the shoes by her dad.

The changing from slippers to high heeled shoes signifies Shannon's crossing from childhood to adolescence.

The closest equivalent to the QuinceaƱera in the English-speaking world are the Sweet 16 or in more affluent communities, a debutante ball at the age of eighteen.
Happy 15th Birthday Shannon!

Sunday afternoon was spent at the Regal Players Christmas performance's dress rehearsal, where my niece played one of several Raggedy Ann dolls. It really is a great holiday show!
